Decision makers are often tasked with the difficulty of, well, making decisions. So, to make the decision of “do we explore voice technology or not?” an easier one, we have compiled these three things to do, or consider, before considering voice technology.

ONE – Explore your options

It is important to asses if voice will be beneficial to your company, and then where it can be implemented. Doing your research on the kinds of services voice technology can provide will give you an idea of where you could improve your processes. If you’ve done your homework and you’re still not sure if voice technology will benefit your company, talk to an expert.

MoyaVox, for example, will schedule a phone call with you to go over your company’s aims and then assess and explain where voice technology can be implemented in order to reach them.

TWO – Find some case studies

Once you’ve got a better idea of where and how you want to implement voice technology, it is a good idea to see how it has worked out for other companies. You could look for case studies of companies similar to your own, or for those that implemented technology that you’re looking to invest in. Bonus if you can find a case study that has both!

For example, if you’re a food company, you might want to take a look at Minster Logistics’ case study with Bidvest Logistics, or if you were curious to see how another company incorporated Vocollect mobile computing devices, you might read about our work with Australian Pharmaceutical Industries

THREE – Think about how voice can embed into your operations

You first need to identify where your company processes need improving. Whether its warehouse accuracy, speed, or reducing costs, once you have your goal in mind, you can begin researching where to embed voice technology in order to best tackle your problem area(s).

For example, if you’re looking to increase efficiency and reduce costs, Vocollect hardware and our applications developed in-house can typically achieve an efficiency increase of greater than 25% when replacing a barcode scanning solution. If your key aim is to increase accuracy, by using our Voice Application the system is in control, giving you an accuracy at the pick face of 99.97% or greater.
